What IS trust?

Definition: Firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/)

The Biblical definition: to have faith in someone or something; believe that someone (usually GOD) will be good to you; to believe that someone is good, and speaks good words; to follow something that you think is true; to follow something/someone as if it/they were true; when we believe in a person.

Trust is both an emotional and logical act. Emotionally, it is where you expose your vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness. Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on hard performance data, and concluded that the person in question will behave in a predictable manner. In practice, trust is a bit of both. I trust you because I have experienced your trustworthiness and because I have faith in human nature. We feel trust. Emotions associated with trust include companionship, friendship, love, agreement, relaxation, comfort. (Changing Minds)

What does the Word of GOD say about TRUST?

Do not put your trust in idols....I, the LORD, am your GOD. (Leviticus 19:4)

i trust in GOD, so why should i be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:11)

See, GOD has come to save me. i will trust in Him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. (Isaiah 12:2)

Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living GOD, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. (I Timothy 6:17)

We are made right in GOD's sight when we trust in JESUS CHRIST to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. (Romans 3:22)

i no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey GOD's law, but i trust CHRIST to save me. For GOD's way of making us right with Himself depends on faith. (Philippians 3:9)

We know how much GOD loves us, and we have put our trust in Him. GOD is love, and all who live in love live in GOD, and GOD lives in them. (I John 4:16)

And yet many put their trust in horoscopes, the I-Ching, runes, tea leaves, crystal balls, Jeanne Dixon, Feng-shui, voodoo, Nostradamus, fortune cookies, Edgar Cayce, palm readers, ouija boards, spiritists, mediums, soothsayers, witchcraft. All these in all their disguises are occult practices. GOD has specific laws against the occult (Deuteronomy 18:9-13).

GOD is the Creator of all things...He is Sovereign...He is in control. So why do people put their trust in daily horoscopes, on how the I-Ching lands, or the way the tea leaves float around in hot water, or the "prophecies" of Jeanne Dixon, or Edgar Cayce or Nostradamus? These are counterfeits of GOD's power and have as their root a system of beliefs totally opposed to GOD. "Anyone who does these things is an object of horror and disgust to the LORD." The acid test for identifying a prophet of GOD is recorded by Moses in Deuteronomy 18:21-22. According to this Bible passage (and others), GOD's prophets, as distinct from satan's spokesmen, are 100 percent accurate in their predictions. There is no room for error. (reason.org)

If Dixon, Cayce or Nostradamus lived in Moses' time, they would have been put to death for making false prophecies!

If anyone wants to foretell the future, if anyone wants to put his trust in something that's 100% reliable, if anyone wants true peace of mind knowing that his daily forecast is Truth and Best -- the Bible is 100% trustworthy. No ifs...no buts...no second guessing. The Word of GOD (THE GOD of the Universe) is totally reliable. It's true wisdom.

Unique among all books ever written, the Bible accurately foretells specific events-in detail-many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur. Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter—no errors. (The remaining 500 or so reach into the future and may be seen unfolding as days go by.) Since the probability for any one of these prophecies having been fulfilled by chance averages less than one in ten (figured very conservatively) and since the prophecies are for the most part independent of one another, the odds for all these prophecies having been fulfilled by chance without error is less than one in 102000 (that is 1 with 2000 zeros written after it)! So a person looking for answers, for daily advice, for direction, for signs of the end times -- the best place to look because it's 100% accurate is GOD's Word -- the Living Bible.

3:16 in the WORD of GOD

When He had been baptized, JESUS came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the SPIRIT of GOD descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. (Matthew 3:16)

Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; (Mark 3:16)

John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy SPIRIT and fire. (Luke 3:16)

For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (Acts 3:16)

Destruction and misery are in their ways; (Romans 3:16)

Do you not know that you are the temple of GOD and that the SPIRIT of GOD dwells in you? (I Corinthians 3:16)

Nevertheless when one turns to the LORD, the veil is taken away. (II Corinthians 3:16)

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," Who is CHRIST. (Galatians 3:16)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness... (II Timothy 3:16)

For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? (Hebrews 3:16)

For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. (James 3:16)

having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in CHRIST may be ashamed. (I Peter 3:16)

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. (II Peter 3:16)

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (I John 3:16)

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Revelation 3:16)

The Scriptures above are like pearls, strung together to create a necklace of wisdom to be worn close to the true believer's heart. To the genuine follower of CHRIST, the indwelling Holy SPIRIT of GOD causes the believer to understand the Word of GOD to a deeper level that is beyond the intellect. The Word of GOD is sharper than a two-edged sword, cutting through the believer's worldly muck of ingrained programming.

The Word of GOD is foolishness to those who don't believe in the Bible -- yet countless men of integrity and intelligence, with pedigrees to the yin-yang (scientists, university professors, physicists) join the faithful but ordinary man in believing GOD's Word as Truth. Genuine believers consider the Bible the highest form of learning -- true wisdom -- not just intellectual head candy, but as meat and potatoes for living life in the real world.

But to discern the supernatural wisdom contained in the Bible, the Word of the One True GOD, one must be supernaturally born again by spirit -- through repentance of sin, through believing in JESUS as the risen CHRIST who died for sinful mankind, and through receiving His forgiveness and LORDship of one's body, soul and spirit. Then the SPIRIT of GOD comes to live on the inside of the believer, regenerating him (or her) into that child of GOD He has always intended.

Without the Holy SPIRIT living on the inside, GOD's Word is indeed foolishness to those who don't believe in the divine Author.

Location, Location, LOCATION! WHERE is your ETERNAL Real Estate?

EVERY LIFE conceived will follow its natural cycle. EVERY PERSON BORN WILL DIE. As soon as a LIFE -- a human BEing -- is formed in the mother's womb, the process of Life to Death begins. (Though there are those countless millions of lives that were terminated through Abortion -- LEGALIZED MURDER -- their right to live out that natural process violated... their choice to live nullified. They were the silent ones -- lambs to the slaughter.)

"In the Bible, there are TWO kinds of DEATH and both can be defined by a single word. The word is SEPARATION. The two kinds of death are PHYSICAL and SPIRITUAL. When a person dies physically, his soul is separated from his body. The soul-less body is put in the ground (or cremated, as Jazmyn was -- and placed in this painted box), but the SOUL lives on. It can NEVER die. The more serious kind of death, however, is spiritual death. This will occur when the UNsaved sinner will someday be forEVER separated from GOD. i saw the dead, both great and small, standing before GOD's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the DEAD were JUDGED according to the things written in the books, according to what they had done. The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them. They were ALL JUDGED according to their DEEDS. (Revelation 20:12-13)

And death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the SECOND death -- the lake of fire. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)

EVERY person will live on in Eternity, for ALL human beings have a SOUL, which NEVER dies. The body dies physically, but the soul will be assigned his (or her) ETERNAL real estate -- HEAVEN or HELL.

Either blissful and priceless, or horrific and fearsome, is that LOCATION where EACH person will spend his (or her) ETERNITY.

In HEAVEN -- He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever. (Revelation 21:4)

In HELL -- In that location, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:51b)

In HEAVEN -- is the very Presence of GOD, with CHRIST JESUS! The home of GOD is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. GOD Himself will be with them. (Revelation 21:3) When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I AM. (John 14:3)

In HELL -- is the outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 22:13)

In HEAVEN -- is the believer's personal home, created for the follower by our LORD Himself.

There are many rooms in My Father's home, and I AM going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. (John 14:2)

In HELL -- is `where the worm never dies and the fire never goes out.' (Mark 9:48)

In HEAVEN -- is where all BELIEVERS in CHRIST will gather for the marriage feast of the Lamb, where we will unite with our SAVED loved ones, and all the saints, prophets and apostles -- Abraham, Moses, Paul, John, David, Peter, Daniel, Joseph, Isaiah, Job, Rahab, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Noah, Jacob, Nehemiah, Jonah... all the Marys... mother Theresa... the boy with the five loaves of bread and two fish... ALL the SAVED -- great and small, rich and poor, Jew and Gentile, men and women.

For IF we BELIEVE that JESUS died and rose again, even so GOD will bring with Him those who sleep in JESUS. (I Thessalonians 4:14)

In HELL -- will reside the unforgiven, the unrepentant, those who rejected GOD's WORD... His SON... those who willfully rejected the calling of the Holy SPIRIT to GOD's plan of Salvation -- CHRIST JESUS... GOD from Heaven clothed in human flesh.

Outside the city are the dogs -- the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie. (Revelation 22:15)

Location, location, LOCATION! In the real estate market, LOCATION is the key to the value of the property. For all those who have put their TRUST in CHRIST JESUS, their guaranteed ETERNAL Real Estate is the Kingdom of GOD in heaven... face to face with JESUS in all His Glory.

A person can't buy into that priceless eternal REAL estate -- it's FREE -- because it cost the Father SO infinitely! It cost GOD the Father His SON's LIFE -- but to ALL sinners (and we are ALL sinners... NO one, NOT one is good -- only GOD is truly good) who truly REPENT and ask for forgiveness and receive GOD's Gift of Redemption -- he is FREELY given the most valuable piece of REAL estate -- an INdescribable, INcomprehensible, UNimaginable Garden of Eden... TRUE Paradise.

Location, Location, LOCATION! Where have you invested your ETERNAL tomorrow? For TOday may be your last breath. CHOOSE -- this very moment, where you will live your ETERNAL LIFE -- with GOD in His ETERNAL Heaven with His loving Presence...

Or in Hell -- TOTALLY SEPARATED from GOD's MERCY and GRACE and LOVE, totally devoid of the Presence of GOD...and without GOD's Presence is total darkness, total depravity, total evil... unimaginable suffering to the nth degree.

Location...Location...LOCATION...prime Reality is through The WAY, The TRUTH and The LIFE -- The WORD Himself -- JESUS, The CHRIST...the Messiah. The LORD JESUS Himself has declared: "NO ONE comes to The FATHER except THROUGH Me." (John 14:6b)

On Valentine's Day -- Do You Have A SWEET HEART?

Pastor John Yates of Faith Bible Institute wrote, "If the universe and man were merely random chance arrangements of atoms and chemicals, then no morality could exist. For instance, it would be no more morally wrong to kill a baby than a mosquito larva, since both are only random chance arrangements of chemicals. Genocide would be no more evil than mass spraying to exterminate mosquitoes.

Yet absolute morals do exist. It is wrong to torture children for pleasure or to attempt to exterminate the Jews as Hitler did. In fact, Hitler thought this was right precisely because he did believe in Evolution and thought the genocide of inferior races would foster the Evolutionary progress of the human race. This evolutionary atheism at the root of Nazism and Communism resulted in the extermination of millions under Hitler, millions more under Stalin, and millions more under Chairman Mao. Eugenics -- "...a science that deals with the improvement (as by control of human mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed....the study and practice of selective breeding applied to humans, with the aim of improving the species. Abortion -- a procedure to end a pregnancy. It uses medicine or surgery to remove the embryo or fetus and placenta from the uterus. 1.3 million abortions are performed EACH year.

Abortion is legalized murder of unborn babies.

No one is exempt from the possibility of doing evil. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Pastor Charles Stanley, in his In Touch magazine (February 4, 2010) listed nine danger signals worse than the hardening of the arteries -- the danger of a hardening heart.

"1. Insensitivity or resistance to what GOD says,
2. Refusal to put yourself under His authority,
3. Disobedience to what you know the Lord is instructing you to do,

4. Justification of sinful conduct,
5. Resistance to the reproof of others,
6. Preoccupation with the things of this world (career, relationships, possessions),

7. Little interest in spiritual matters,

8. Absence of private devotion (Bible reading and prayer),

9. Avoidance of public worship (gathering with other believers)."

Charles Darwin had a hardened heart. He believed in Eugenics. His book, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life promoted that "all life is related and has descended from a common ancestor: the birds and the bananas, the fishes and the flowers -- all related. Charles Darwin did not believe that there is a Creator -- GOD, Creator of the heavens and earth.

If there is no GOD -- there is no morality. When a person rejects morality -- he (or she) rejects GOD. He rejects a moral Maker, Lawgiver and Judge.

Nero, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot...the lives they lived -- the outgrowth of their belief systems -- showed that they did not believe that man was created in the image of the Creator, the GOD of the universe, Maker of all things seen and unseen. Margaret Sanger, in promoting abortion -- the killing of unborn babies in the guise of "planned parenthood" -- did not believe that GOD created those millions and millions and millions of murdered babies in His image. Amalie Dietrich, "a German evolutionist, (nicknamed the 'Angel of Black Death') asked that Aborigines be shot for specimens, so their skin could be stuffed and mounted" -- obviously did not believe in the sanctity of life.

i, too, before i received GOD's precious gift of His Son, CHRIST JESUS, as my Savior -- believed the GARBAGE of EVOLUTION!!! i was fed this pernicious lie when i came to the the USofA, fresh off the boat, at 10 years old -- ignorant and a ready sponge...sopping up all the muck that was thrown at me.

BLESSED be the GOD of the Bible -- the Creator of me! -- He saved me from a heart of evil and depravity, through the shed blood of His Son, JESUS, the CHRIST. By the redeeming, atoning, substitutionary sacrifice of His life on the Cross at Calvary, i was set free...forever free to be a child of the Living GOD.

By the abiding, indwelling of the Holy SPIRIT of GOD -- gifted to me and to all who believe in CHRIST as LORD and Savior, i am no longer blind, no longer hardhearted. In CHRIST, i am a new creature, with His righteousness, His heart, His mind...that old body of death that was merlin was crucified and buried. GOD has made me new -- born again in spirit -- and today, in CHRIST alone, i am rLn. If anyone is In CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (II Corinthians 5:17)

Only with the mind of GOD...only with the power of the Holy SPIRIT...only with the heart of CHRIST -- can the heart and soul of man be made truly righteous. Only through the Love of GOD in our wilfull hearts can we love all human beings as our own brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers. Only when we truly believe in our hearts, minds and soul that each and every person on earth -- man, woman, child...black, white, brown, yellow (or red-white-n-blue), rich or poor, Jew or Gentile, believer or non-believer, saved sinner or unsaved sinner -- is created in the very likeness and image of the Living GOD -- only then, will the killing stop!

And the killings, the murders...start in the heart. For as you think in your heart, so you are!

How is your heart? Do you have a sweet heart?

Only In CHRIST can one have a sweet heart.

Which Holy Book is GOD's TRUTH?

From the Evidence Bible -- Irrefutable evidence for the thinking mind, compiled by Ray Comfort, i read what Richard M. Fales, Ph.D., wrote about how

Archaeology and history attest to the reliability of the Bible.

Manuscript Evidence: Aristotle’s Ode to Poetics was written between 384 and 322 B.C. The earliest copy of this work dates A.D. 1100, and there are only forty-nine extant manuscripts. The gap between the original writing and the earliest copy is 1,400 years. There are only seven extant manuscripts of Plato’s Tetralogies, written 427–347 B.C. The earliest copy is A.D. 900—a gap of over 1,200 years.
What about the New Testament? JESUS was crucified in A.D. 30. The New Testament was written between A.D. 48 and 95. The oldest manuscripts date to the last quarter of the first century, and the second oldest A.D. 125. This gives us a narrow gap of thirty-five to forty years from the originals written by the apostles. From the early centuries, we have some 5,300 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Altogether, including Syriac, Latin, Coptic, and Aramaic, we have a whopping 24,633 texts of the ancient New Testament to confirm the wording of the Scriptures.

With the great body of manuscript evidence, it can be proved, beyond a doubt, that the New Testament says exactly the same things today as it originally did nearly 2,000 years ago.
Corroborative Writings: Critics also charge that there are no ancient writings about JESUS outside the New Testament. This is another ridiculous claim. Writings confirming His birth, ministry, death, and resurrection include Flavius Josephus (A.D. 93), the Babylonian Talmud (A.D. 70–200), Pliny the Younger’s letter to the Emperor Trajan (approx. A.D. 100), the Annals of Tacitus (A.D. 115–117), Mara Bar Serapion (sometime after A.D. 73), and Suetonius’ Life of Claudius and Life of Nero (A.D. 120).
Fulfilled Prophecies: Prophecies from the Old and New Testaments that have been fulfilled also add credibility to the Bible. The Scriptures predicted the rise and fall of great empires like Greece and Rome (Daniel 2:39, 40), and foretold the destruction of cities like Tyre and Sidon (Isaiah 23)...with the arrival of Alexander the Great. In the seven-month siege, he fulfilled the remainder of the prophecies (Zechariah 9:4; Ezekiel 26:12) concerning the city at sea by completely destroying Tyre, killing 8,000 of its inhabitants and selling 30,000 of its population into slavery.
Alexander’s death and the murder of his two sons was also foretold in the Scripture. Another startling prophecy was Jesus’ detailed prediction of Jerusalem’s destruction, and the further spreading of the Jewish diaspora throughout the world, which is recorded in Luke 21. In A.D. 70, not only was Jerusalem destroyed by Titus, the future emperor of Rome, but another prediction of JESUS CHRIST in Matthew 24:1,2 came to pass—the complete destruction of the temple of GOD.
Messianic Prophecies: In the Book of Daniel, the Bible prophesied the coming of the one and only Jewish Messiah prior to the temple’s demise. The Old Testament prophets declared He would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) to a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12,13), die by crucifixion (Psalm 22), and be buried in a rich man’s tomb (Isaiah 53:9). There was only one person who fits all of the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament who lived before A.D. 70: JESUS of Nazareth, the Son of Mary.

As a born again follower of CHRIST, not only do i put my faith in GOD's promises as written in His Word, the Holy Bible -- i put my faith on Rock solid ground -- on factual reality, on proven historical evidence. Though my faith in JESUS as my Lord and personal Savior is fervently zealous and deeply heart-felt, it is not blind faith. GOD's earthly creation, my own body (attesting to the fact that i am fearfully and wonderfully made), the Hubble telescope pictures of breathtaking stars and innumerable galaxies (giving irrefutable proof of GOD's astronomical, indescribable creativity) are enough evidence to convince me of GOD's Presence as Creator of all that exist. i've accepted the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, in its entirety, as the Truth -- GOD's infallible Word -- based on all the intelligent facts which bombard us from every direction since the dawn of history.

Which "holy book" will you believe -- by which "holy scripture" will you stake your whole life, your whole existence -- For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7)

Will you put all your eggs in the One's basket Who holds the Truth of the Reality of GOD, the Creator of every thing you see, and even every thing that you can't see, but exist? Will you even believe the Truth when you see it? The Word of GOD, the Holy Bible, is Truth -- it conforms with fact...with the reality of GOD's Reality.

Will you put your faith, your belief system, in the Qur'an, the Book of Mormons, the Watchtower Bible, the Four Noble Truths, or the New Age queen of CHRIST-less spirituality -- Oprah Winfrey?

Pontius Pilate, asked JESUS, "Quid est veritas?" -- "What is truth?" What "truth" rules you? Is it Truth?
