reasons 'n' lessons no matter the season

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

JESUS died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. (2 Corinthians 5:15)

Let not your heart be troubled...Do not worry about your life...do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' LOVE-letter to my family

Dear spouse, dad, mom, son, daughter, sister, brother, nephew, niece, brother- and sister-in-law, cousin, ex-spouse...

GOD's plan for me is all-ways perfect -- i may die TOday, tomorrow or years from now due to a car/bus/bicycle accident; or another crazy shooting on this side of the globe; or a cancer with only a month to live. SO -- i'm taking this moment right NOW to speak from the heart...speaking up because i LOVE you! YES, i LOVE you... ALL of you whom GOD has chosen to be my family in this earthly lifetime.

Who else will tell you the truth? You may choose to dis-own me, or worse -- just ignore me and count my words as more foolishness from the black sheep of the family ("oh, she's like her dad") or just more Bible-thumping from the JESUS-freak. Choose your name(s) for me, but please allow these words to sink deep into your soul.

CONSIDER this: your god is YOU...your SELF. Your god is _______.

(fill in the blank with YOUR name IF you get angry whenever people or circumstances don't go YOUR way; IF you LOVE money -- you find your happiness and security in your stockpile of dollars or retirement fund; IF you believe in your heart that you have what you have and that you are what you are because YOU did it YOURself -- whether your status in life or the size of your bank account).

YOU are your own god if YOU are the boss of your life, your body, your money; and the One True Living GOD has no say over your life, your body, your money, your STUFF. YOU are god if you don't acknowledge with humble thanksgiving the One who has given you life -- the body and intelligence and talent(s) to do the work that earns you the money that buys your STUFF.

It's YOUR party on earth -- living it YOUR way. YOU are the "me, myself and I" trinity.

PLEASE, see YOU without the blinders. See who's really controlling the strings. It's satan -- controlling YOU through your love of self and your love of money. You are serving satan when you serve YOU.

JESUS said, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You canNOT serve GOD and money." (Matthew 6:24) Simple and naked TRUTH: love YOU, hate GOD...loyal to YOU, despise GOD...serve YOU, serve satan.

See...i DO love you. i love you SO much that i tell you the TRUTH, risking your anger, your scorn, your rejection. Your rejection is NOthing to me -- but your rejection of the only One who can save you, CHRIST JESUS, is a devastating thought to me. Please CONSIDER this Reality --

There are NO lovers of self or lovers of money in heaven...there will ONLY be LOVERS of JESUS.

For am i now trying to win the favor of people, or GOD? Or am i striving to please people? If i were still trying to please people, i would not be a slave of CHRIST. (Galatians 1:10, HCSB)

Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you your heart's desires. (Psalm 37:4)

There is no fear in LOVE; instead, perfect LOVE drives out fear... (1 John 4:18)

my Prayer For You

When i think of the wisdom and scope of GOD's plan, i fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. i pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy SPIRIT. i pray that CHRIST will be more and more at home in your heart as you trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of GOD's marvelous love.

And may you have the power to understand, as all GOD's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is. May you experience the love of CHRIST, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from GOD.

Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by CHRIST JESUS to all generations, forever and ever. AMEN!

The Great I AM

I AM the Bread of life. He who comes to Me will never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

LOVE is...

Though i speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, i have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

And though i have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though i have all faith, so that i could remove mountains, but have not love, i am nothing.

And though i bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though i give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! i once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now i see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear the hour i first believed.

The Holy BIBLE -- The Word of GOD

The BIBLE contains the mind of GOD, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.

It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the CHRISTian's charter. Here is Paradise restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed.

CHRIST is its grand subject, our good the design, and the glory of GOD its end.

It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.
