AS instructed in GOD's HOLY Word, the Redeemed IN CHRIST are to be like the Bereans -- examining what is being taught to determine whether or not the teaching is truly from GOD's HOLY Scriptures (see Acts 17:11).
The very popular Dispensationalist perspective teaches: "the Millennium will be a state of Jewish dominion over ALL the world, along with a newly REstored Jewish TEMPLE and Priesthood" (https://www.gotquestions.org/dispensational-premillennialism.html). The Dispensationalist point-of-view teaches that the Sacrificial System will be REinstated; that there is a SEPARATE Plan of GOD for the Jews (national Israel) and a SEPARATE Plan for the Church (the Body of CHRIST, comprised of ALL Jewish and Gentile Believers from the Old Testament and New Testament -- up to THIS Present Age until The LORD JESUS' Second Coming). BUT this belief system goes against the TRUTH of GOD's Word. THIS view DISparages CHRIST's ONE PERFECT Atoning SACRIFICE -- HIS fully COMPLETED, totally SUFFICIENT, ONCE for ALL, Accomplished REDEMPTION for Sinners -- BOTH Jews and Gentiles alike.
IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:14-18 -- 'For CHRIST JESUS is our PEACE, Who made BOTH groups ONE and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In HIS flesh, HE made of NO EFFECT the Law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, SO THAT He might create IN Himself ONE NEW man from the two, resulting in PEACE. HE did this SO THAT He might RECONCILE BOTH to GOD in ONE BODY through the CROSS and put the hostility to death by it. When The MESSIAH came, HE proclaimed the GOOD News of PEACE to you who were FAR away and peace to those who were NEAR. For THROUGH HIM, we BOTH have access by ONE SPIRIT to The FATHER.'
The Risen LORD JESUS, Who is ALREADY seated on His throne IN Heaven at GOD's Right Hand, is ALREADY reigning even NOW, with ALL Authority and Power ALREADY given to Him by GOD (see Matthew 28:18; John 17:2). The KING of GLORY Himself declared: 'I AM The GOOD SHEPHERD. I KNOW My OWN Sheep, and they KNOW Me AS The FATHER KNOWs Me, and I KNOW The FATHER. I lay down My LIFE for the Sheep. BUT I have OTHER Sheep that are NOT of THIS Fold; I MUST bring them ALSO; and they WILL LISTEN to MY Voice. THEN there will be ONE Flock, ONE SHEPHERD.' (John 10:14-16)
In MANY other verses in the New Testament Scriptures, GOD's ONE Plan from BEFORE Creation has always been to have HIS REMNANT -- GOD's CHOSEN People, GOD's ELECT, to be The BRIDE of The LAMB -- those who are gifted to The SON and whose names are ALREADY written in the Book of LIFE. (John 17:6,9,24; Phil 4:3; Rev 13:8, 17:8, 20:12,15; 21:27)
IT IS WRITTEN IN Romans 9:27 and 11:15 -- 'Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, ONLY the REMNANT will be saved." 'SO, too, at the present time there is a REMNANT CHOSEN BY GRACE.'
IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:28-29 -- 'There is NO Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. And IF you belong to CHRIST -- THEN you are Abraham’s Seed, Heirs according to The PROMISE.'
IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 10:12 -- 'For there is NO DISTINCTION between Jew and Greek, since the same LORD of ALL is rich to ALL who call on Him.'
Historically, Dispensationalism is relatively new, started by John Nelson Darby in 1830, and popularized by the Scofield Reference Bible, with commentaries that emphasized Dispensationalism (https://creation.com/en/articles/darby-and-scofield-bible). Historically, from the 1st century Church to 1830 -- there have been three main perspectives regarding Eschatology: Premillenialism, Amillenialism, Postmillenialism (https://learn.ligonier.org/devotionals/millennial-reign-christ). Dispensationalism was NOT one of them.
IF the LITERAL 1,000 years was such a very important doctrine -- WHY did CHRIST JESUS Himself NOT emphasize its great importance? WHY did the Gospel and Epistle writers NOT emphasize this seemingly crucial, LITERAL perspective of CHRIST's "millennial reign"? WHY does the Dispensationalist perspective NOT interpret the Book of Revelation by its proper genre -- as an APOCALYPTIC Book written in MUCH symbolic language or SIGNS, as the Apostle John himself wrote in Revelation 1:1 -- 'The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST, which GOD gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and SIGNIFIED it by His angel unto His servant John.'
ALL Born-AGAIN, BLOOD-Bought CHRISTians, whether REDEEMED Jews or REDEEMED Gentiles -- are to be like the Bereans, using their GOD-given reNEWed mindset to test the spirits according to the Holy Scriptures, AS illumined by The Holy SPIRIT withIN.
